Based On this conjecture

We can easily see that the point ( 2 , 2 ) (2,-2) lies in the 4th Quadrant.

Now, Since -4 is Negative, ( 2 , 2 , 4 ) (2,-2,-4) will lie in the octant behind the 4th quadrant, i.e. 8th octant, Which is our answer :)

I believe the word is octant , and not octate as you have so stated .

@Mehul Arora Haha , yesterday I was watching Sherlock and fell asleep mid-way (probably becoz I know all the Dialogue by heart :P) and hence I forgot to turn off my laptop . Then at around 2:30 am a burst of notifications started on Hangouts hence waking me up :(
