$7$ cones of ice-cream costs $\$35.42$ .
So, $1$ cone of ice-cream would cost $\$\dfrac {35.42}{7} = \$5.06$ .
So, $100$ cones of ice-cream would cost $ $(5.06 × 100)$ = $\$506 \approx \$\boxed{500}$
