2 solutions

@Finn Hulse I hope you like this.First we need the equation E n e r g y = p o w e r × t i m e \boxed { Energy=power\times time\quad } then calculate Energy= ( ( 10 + 2 ( 20 ) + 35 ) ÷ 1000 ) × 24 h r s ((10+2(20)+35)\div 1000)\times 24hrs =2.04 so let us multiply by .1 to get the total amount of money per day Amount 2.04 × . 1 = . 204 2.04\times .1=.204 Now we need to calculate the amount for 30 days so . 204 × 30 = 6.12 .204\times 30=6.12 . I know this is too much for a solution but I want to be clear.

Wonderfully nice and incredibly easy :P

Excellent! I loved this but I got 61.2 61.2 because I read $ 1 \$1 instead of $ 0.10 \$0.10 . I think you need to remove the extra zero. :P

Isn't 85 watts supposed to be the power consumption in one second?

I forgot to read that there were two bulbs. The question is indescribably interesting.
