I think the problem is wrongly written. It should be corrected. It should have been "What is the minimum area of a right angled triangle whose inradius is 1 unit?"

Ya, min value of triangle is 3√3 =5.196, isn't it?

That is correct. I also got the same answer. Then I doubted something is wrong with the question.
