co-ordinate geometry

Geometry Level 1

find the equation of line passing through (-2,1) and parallel to( 3x + 4y= 10 )

4x+3y+5=0 2x+3y-1=0 2x-y+4=0 3x+4y-2=0

This is problem of co-ordinate geometry..people who solve this problem with algebra as a base will definetly get a wrong answer!

point must be (2,-1) rather than (2,1) to be answer as right.
my Solution:- If two lines are parallel then their slope must be same. From given line y= -(3/4)x + (10/4) , slope is = -3/4 . Now equation of line which passes through (2,-1) point and slope= -3/4 is given by
(y-(-1))=-(3/4)(x-(2)) ----> 4y+4=-3x+6 i.e 3x+4y-2=0
