Prathamesh, this was a question asked on facebook . The appropriate answer is 29/119 which is approximately1/4. Given that the music will stop within 2 minutes = 120 seconds So the music should stop from 1 second to 119 seconds. half a minute = 30 seconds Less than half a minute means from 1 second to 29 seconds. Probability of stopping the music within half minute = 29/119

Ashish , i got this question not from facebook but from a book named R.D sharma . It is clearly mentioned that 1/4 is the answer

ok, might be they considered 1to 120 seconds and 1 to 30 seconds. Anyway both the wways are same. Thanks for the question anyways.

Ashish your way and my way is different . no problem . i just want to ask that by your method are you getting 1/4 or is the answer something . According to me i think the answer is 1/4. I guess your answer is the same .

@Prathamesh Samal Yes, I just considered 1 to 29 seconds and 1 to 119 seconds. Anyway both are 99.99 % 99.99\% same, B R O BRO
