The pink triangle has 4 white triangles missing and the green triangle has 7 white triangles missing. Hence, the pink area will be larger.

In fact, we know that the ratio of pink : green is 16 4 : 16 7 = 12 : 9 = 4 : 3 16 - 4 : 16 - 7 = 12 : 9 = 4 : 3 !

At first sight,it can be seen that the white part in the pink triangle is made up of four small white triangles. And in the green triangle there are seven small white triangles. (I have edited it.I mistakingly wrote five in stead of four.)

Great! That's one way to see it.

Are you sure that the pink triangle contains five small white triangles?

All the small white triangles seem to be identical and the green area in between these also seems to be having same area (just flipped). That's how I saw it :/
