To convert a Speed from Km/h Into m/s we multiply the speed in km/h by 5/18.

And 1 km= 1000m. Hence the cyclist is travelling at a speed of 12.25 Km/h.

Hence,The speed in m/s= 12.25 X 5/18 Which is approximately 3.40m/s

The speed of the cyclist = 3.40m/s

v= d/ t v = 12,250 m /3,600s =3.40 m/s southwest

An hour contains 3600 seconds, not 3200!!!

Ravi, my records indicate that you answered correctly. You gave an answer of 3.402, and it was marked correct. Can you send me a screenshot where it said that you were wrong?

@Rahul Parmar Rahul, there is no issue with your question. I have updated the answer to 3.40, after I edited the question.

My concern is with Ravi's comment that his answer was marked incorrect, even though my records indicate that he was correct (because we give a slight leeway for decimal answers). If this was true, then there is likely to be a bug and I would like to determine the error.
