Gradient vector warmup

Calculus Level 1

If there is a function of x and y, f ( x , y ) = x 2 + 2 x y \displaystyle f(x,y)=x^2+2xy , and its gradient vector f ( x , y ) \displaystyle \nabla f(x,y) , what is its gradient vector at x = 1 x=1 , y = 2 y=2 ?

Where the gradient vector is a , b \displaystyle \braket{a,b} , input your answer as a + b a+b

Hmm, it would certainly benefit others if you are able to learn some LaTeX \LaTeX . Otherwise, it is very hard to decipher what you're saying.

As a start, it might be useful to start utilizing this site so that you can understand how LaTeX \LaTeX are implemented.
