Evaluate 2.99999999...... \lfloor{2.99999999......}\rfloor . Here, x \lfloor {x} \rfloor denotes the greatest integer not exceeding x x , for all reals x x .

2.99999... 2.99999... is exactly 3 3 , so the answer is 3 3 .

Infinitesimally it's less than 3, so how can it be 3?

@Siva Bathula 2.99999... 2.99999... is itself DEFINED as a limit.
