@Yajat Shamji , the system only takes in 3 significant figures for decimal answer. Anyone keys in 1000000000 get the answer right.

You should have removed the 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 . Then the correct answer would be 0 . 9 0 8 . Better still if you specify the answer is of the form c a − b , then find a + b + c . Then to find the real answer we need to think.

@Chew-Seong Cheong – Well, the 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 is at the start of the infinitely nested fraction, that's why I needed to find the value with 0 at the start of the fraction - that's why the answer is 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 . 9 0 8 3 2 6 9 1 3 2

@A Former Brilliant Member – I know my friend the point is anybody who knows that the system takes only 3 significant figure will get the answer right. It defies the purpose of setting this problem. The 1000000000 is not important at all. It does not involve any algebra but arithmetic of addition to make the problem fancy. I am just suggesting that if you want to set a proper problem next time to benefit more members you should set the problem as I have suggested. You can just crop out the 1 0 9 from the image and you get a much better problem. Frankly, I find this childish but then again you are only 14.
