Magnetic field due to straight current carrying wires

A wire consists of two semi-infinite line segments along the vertical and horizontal axes, and a half-square section of side length 1 m 1 m , as shown in the image.

The wire carries a uniform current of 10 A 10 A .

Determine the magnitude of the magnetic flux density ( B ) (B) , at the origin.

Details and Assumptions:
- The magnetic permeability μ 0 = 4 π × 1 0 7 H / m \mu_0 = 4 \pi \times 10^{-7} H/m
- Give your answer in μ T \mu T , to 3 decimal places. Here, the symbol μ \mu denotes "micro".


The answer is 1.414.
