You are on an island, in which the villagers only tell the truth always or lie always. You meet 3 villagers and ask them: "How many truth tellers are there amongst you?". To which, they reply
"Two."
"Two."
"One."
Can you tell, how many truth tellers are there amongst the 3 villagers?

the answer is bound to be zero! it was given that either all the villagers lie simultaneously or they tell the truth simultaneously............. if one answer is different it is clear that at least one of them is a liar! and since all lie simultaneously , if one lies the other two are bound to lie too!

Not simultaneously, the question gives that the villages always lie or always tell the truth.
answer must be 0, right???
it can be 0, 1 or 2, but when there are two persons giving the same answer, it can be more than coincidence. its highly improbable that two people lying give the same answer, unless they are telling the truth. my answer 2
I still believe the answer is 0 .. !
Well it could be both :)
should be 2.
It should be zero. It says that all villagers will tell a lie or truth. So if their answer is different, they must all lie.
It can be that: 1) All are lying. 2) Only that person who said "One" is truthful. 3) Those who said "Two" are truthful.
So the answer may be either of 0 , 1 or 2 .
So there is not enough information

There point is that you do not know for certain that there are 0 truth tellers.
There can be 0 (all lying), 1 (first 2 lie, third tells truth) or 2 (first 2 tell truth, third lies) truth tellers. You do not have enough information to conclude how many truth tellers there are.

its written that they lie always or tells truth always and there I misunderstood the question :(
All Three answers can be possible - let 0 be true => all 3 are lying, consistent let 1 be true => C is telling the truth, consistent let 2 be true => A,B are telling the truth , consistent
It may be 2 , in the same time it also may be 1
Can there be 0 truth tellers?

Yes there can be.
oh, didn't notice that
Yes, if all tell lies then it can be easily seen that there are no truth tellers.
what about the first and the second villager always tell the truth? they both said two and only the third villager said one(who lied). I answered 2 and wrong :|

Yes there can be as all the 3 villagers may have lied.....since none of them said that there are 0 truth tellers...
it may be 0 anyway
There is no correct answer in options. As there can be 2 or 1 truth tellers.
0 (none of them) or 1 (the last villager) or 2 (the first two villagers).
Initially 2 sounds about right as 2 of them lying and 1 of them (who answered 1 truthteller) telling the truth. But that's not the only possibility. They could all be lying, or two of them are telling the truth. This means there is simply not enough information to explicitly decide.
First two tell truth, third lies; third tells truth, first two lie, or all lying.
