1 solution

f(2+3)=2*[3+(2-1)]=8

f(3+7)=3*[7+(3-1)]=27

f(4+5)=4*[5+(4-1)]=32

f(5+8)=5*[8+(5-1)]=60

f(6+7)=6*[7+(6-1)]=72

therefore

f(7+8)=7*[8+(7-1)]=98

x+y=x[y+(x-1)]=x^2+xy-x

Arna, your question was flagged because 2 + 3 2+3 has a very specific meaning in math, unless you clearly defined that the + sign is acting as a different operator. One of the moderators have edited your question for clarity.

I prefer the way the question is written now, where it is obvious that x and y are inputs for a certain function, and that we are given several test values.

It would help if you edited your solution to reflect the new notation. Thanks!
