f(3+7)=3*[7+(3-1)]=27
f(4+5)=4*[5+(4-1)]=32
f(5+8)=5*[8+(5-1)]=60
f(6+7)=6*[7+(6-1)]=72
therefore
f(7+8)=7*[8+(7-1)]=98
x+y=x[y+(x-1)]=x^2+xy-x
