Firstly, hydrogen in presence of Pd/C catalyst removes the unsaturation via catalytic hydrogenation. Next mono-bromination occurs at one of the carbon. Mg is added which forms a Grignard reagent (cyclohexyl-MgBr) to which heavy water is added. The Grignard reagent abstracts a deuterium and forms 1-deutero cyclohexane and MgBrOD as a by-product.

Are you asking us to do your homework? Also, organic materials contain carbon, which starts with C. Pretty lucky guess, I'm horrible in chemistry.

really ?? that is a basic question asked in college entrance examinations... we study topics on our own while we are still in high school ...if u dont know a thing about chemistry dont hang around here flaunting about things u dont know
