The image above ( detailed view here ) shows how a Pokemon's type can affect the damage it takes from an attack.
We are given certain information about five Pokemon .
All five Pokemon are of a distinct type and also have that type of attack.
Pokemon A's attack do not do damage to any type.
Pokemon B only takes damage from Pokemon and
Pokemon C's attacks do damage to three of the other given Pokemon ( ). It also takes damage from only two of the other given Pokemon.
Pokemon E's attack does to its own type.
What is the typing of Pokemon D?
Details and Assumptions
From the chart, the attack's power is multiplied by the given power against certain types. i.e fighting types are multiplied against steel types.

Note: The detail about STAB is very confusing and should be remove. It contributes nothing to the solution and instead make me wonder where do I get the type of the move.
From 1. we could see A is the Normal type: Only row have no green cell.
From 3 we could see C is the Fight type, only that type could do x2 damage to Normal type (A).
From 3 and 5, we could see E is the Rock type, as only the Rock type do x1 to itself and take x2 from Fight type.
From 2 and the above we can see that B could only be of the type: Water,Grass,Electric,Dragon, as only those type take x1 damage from Normal, Fight and Rock. But none of those type deal x0.5 damage to Fight type (C), and A deals x1 damage to C, so from 3 we see that D deals x0.5 damage to C.
From that, and C deal x2 damage to D, we could conclude that D is Dark (because E is already Rock)
