Looking at the questions, only Q2 has an answer that doesn't reference itself directly. For example Q1 asks about c) as an answer, but its answer c) is Q1.

So it's easiest to look at Q2 first.

Q2's answer can't be b) (as this would be an immediate contradiction), so Q4's answer can't be a), so Q2's answer can't be a).

Q2 can therefore be either c) or d).

If Q2's answer was d), then Q1's answer would be a), so Q3's answer would be c), so Q4's answer would be d), so Q1's answer would be b). However this now contradicts itself, so Q2's answer can't be d).

Therefore Q2's answer must be c). Making Q3's answer a), making Q1's answer d), confiming Q2's answer is c). Leaving Q4's answer as b).

It's quite simple. There are a number of combinations that can satisfy this problem. Since you have the options, the best thing to do is check each one out :)

I don't understand why referencing itself disqualifies the first answer from being c. Taken in order, there is no question with answer a, hence, None of the above.

I agree, if the question can not refer to itself they must state that.

Liked it. Thnx 4 d post it helped

I’m confused

Thu Kha - 1 year, 1 month ago

I thought they were referring to the answers of the previous problems we’d worked. A memory test...ugh.

I thought the same

Hi, I'm confused about the questions. I'm not getting the logical pattern, I don't understand what is the demand of the question. For example, why did you say Q2's answer can't be b). Can you give me details about it please?

Where does it say that a question can not reference itself??

Because this is a multiple-choice question, the easiest way is simply to check each choice whether it satisfies the problem or not.

yeah I do the same.. but here they won't accept answers without numericals.. was left with no other option!!

"Suppose that you have the answers to all four. Now translate them with A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, D = 4, and concatenate the answers from Q1 to Q4. So for example, if you answer Q1. A, Q2. B, Q3. A, Q4. C, then your answer should be 1213."

@Payal Sheth No, that's a sample way to express the answer in digits.

@Ivan Koswara oh okay thanks!!

I did a different solution. I had to test every choice. I knew that if Q1, Q2,Q3, or Q4 would repeat itself, then it means I chose the the wrong choice.

Why not input your answer as a 4-digit number where a=1, b=2, etc. For example if the sequence was cdba, enter 3421

Can someone explain it I didn’t understand this question

Deepti Goparaju - 1 year, 10 months ago

I don't understand either. My logic must be poor as most of the exercises were beyond me. At school there was a point where suddenly I could make no sense of it.

There is an option to go back lol

what do you mean...?

The questions needs to better phrased.
