Yes because when you cut anything once it gives you 2 pieces. So when you will cut the tree trunk 11 times , you will get 12 pieces. Hope it is clear now!

-Unknown of the original length But we do know 12 ft pieces in 1 minute. 12 equal pieces.... Maybe this is a type of Kindergarten question SIMPLY SUBTRACTION
