Let a a be the answer to the question.

a = a 2 a = \dfrac{a}{2}

a 2 = 0 \implies \dfrac{a}{2} = 0

a = 0 \implies a=\boxed{0}

I think "infinite" is also an answer to this question.

Definitely... The only thing that saves us here is that there is no way to enter two of those in as a solution, so 0 is the only "available" solution. However, point taken. Some clarification would be in order!
