Simple trigo #4

Geometry Level 1

Given that

s i n ( A + B ) = 1 sin(A+B) = 1

s i n ( A B ) = 0 sin(A-B) = 0

So

c o s ( A ) = 1 a cos(A) = \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{a}}

Find a a

0 ( A , B ) π / 2 0\leq(A,B)\leq\pi/2

The answer is 2.

It is known that:-

Sin 90 =1

Sin 0 = 0

Therefore:-

A+B=90 Degrees

A-B=0 Degrees

Solving the two equations,

A=B=45 Degrees.

C o s ( 45 ) = 1 2 Cos(45) = \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{2}}

Hence a = 2
