Has to be 4, because when you spell it out: "four". It also has 4 letters. :D

How can we prove this? I think that mathematics doesn't have a tool to prove such a strange statement.

Yeah, the question was a bit silly... However, for a proof maybe you could do a graph of letter count vs number or something, and show that 4 is the only one that intersects the line y=x, and show that at some point the average letter count goes up like log(n) or even slower? Not really to sure... :-P
