1 solution

The answer to this question is the number of persons lying.

1.- If the answer was 0, then person C (1 person) would be lying (this is a contradiction = impossible).

2.- If the answer was 1, then people A, B, C (3 people) would be lying (this is a contradiction)

3.- If the answer was 2, then only person A(1 person) would be lying (this is a contradiction)

4- If the answer was 4, then only people A,C ( 2 people) would be lying (this is a contradiction)

Hence, the only possibilty is to have 3 people lying, and in fact, this is happening (A,C,D is lying and B is telling the truth)

Exactly. I think that all people will have the same approach......

@展豪 張 There is a way used by me for solving problems whith multiple choices. Let's suppose that the problem is correct and its answers are well defined , then if I find one right answer or one answer that it works, then logically the other answers must be wrong... But this thought only works if and only if the problem is set correctly. In this case, it's somehting like this, I have found that 3 works here, then the right answer has to be 3 and the others answers are wrong...

weird, I thought it would be the answer was two, and person A would be lying, for person B's answer was not 1 so it can be 2, and also for person D his answer was not 3 so it can be 2, but it would not be certain. Then that would mean one or three of them lied. T.T I answered 1. psh

If the answer is 0, that is, 0 people are lying, then all people are telling truth, but in fact C is lying.
