The tree

So, there is a mysterious tree. You need to figure out how many branches it has for some reason.

Unfortunately, the tree has been cut down. But, one person saw the tree before it was cut down. He doesn't remember how many branches there was. But, he remembers some clues.

  1. The number of branches is between 1 and 874 inclusive.

  2. The number of branches is prime.

  3. The number is a palindrome. (the same backwards and forwards)

  4. The number's 1st digit and the 2nd digit's difference is 2.

Can you figure out the number of branches?

295 1005 656 11 535 452 757 53

at first,the number is a palindrome.so, 535 , 656 , 757 535,656,757 are in the race.

secondly,the number is a prime number.that eliminates 535 & 656

so,their remains only 757 757

you are correct!

Just check the number against the choices and you will surely get it right

Trivially, the answer can be found to be 757 by checking the choices against the rules.

You have to wonder about this fellow who somehow managed to determine all of these data without remembering the actual number.

He was verrrrry weird ok?

Can't the answer be 131?

131 isn't an answer option.

It would also depend on your definition of "difference" (is it the 1st number minus the 2nd number, allowing negative differences, or the magnitude of the 1st minus the 2nd, allowing only positive differences?)

The possible answers are 295, 535, 656, 53, 452, 757,1005, and 11. From the first clue 1005 is eliminated. From the second clue 535, 295, 656, and 452 are eliminated. From the third clue 53 is eliminated. Answer is 757
