The number of triangles that are formed by joining any 3 corners of the pentagon is 5 C 3 = 10 _5C_3=10 . There are 5 of each colored triangle. Thus, 10 + 5 x 5 = 35 10+5x5=35 .

This should be a combinatorics problem and not geometry.

I guess it's geometry pentagon is a part of the geometry.

It is geometry but you can use combinatorics to some extent.

focus on one side, find all the triangles and multiply to 5.. I found 7 so my answer is 35 triangles....
