How did you come to know that D shape is a rhombus?

you can break it(D) into two triangles

But the perpendiculars may not meet at once point?

@Destructo Prime I did not mean to prove the figure to be rhombus. I just suggested a way to calculate its area. Otherwise the figure has been shown as symmetric and hence a rhombus. But calculating its area as two triangles eliminates any chance of confusion.
