This molecule can donate a proton to achieve stability, hence it is a Protonic(arrhenius)acid.

NOTE: The molecule is highly unstable because of 5 covalent bonds.We know that carbon is tetravaent under ordinary conditions, therefore it readily liberates a proton in aqueous medium to form a stable methane molecule.

Yup. It is so acidic that it's known as a superacid.
